馬林魚本季進入重建，而我國旅美左投陳偉殷也跟著進行自己投球上的調整，他表示自己這一季投了不少曲球，希望能起到速差上的變化。

陳偉殷近年受到傷勢困擾，加上年紀也已經33歲，因此本季他和團隊開始針對自己的投球做出改變，而最主要的就是球種的變化。

陳偉殷說，過去自己變速球用的很多，但現在體能下滑，因此在比賽後段往往無法有效控制，所以比例上已經有所降低，而取而代之的是自己拿手的滑球的比例增加了，但為了增加球種及速差，所以也投了不少的曲球。

另外他也開始會在兩次輪值之間進行對手的研究，像是在先發後的一天會先對昨天的投球內容進行檢討，隔一天再開始研究下一場對手的打線。

不過或許就是因為一次做了太多改變，所以陳偉殷本季也還在適應這一些調整，所以成績上難免會有些起伏。
